With Independence Comes Responsibility
After choosing to wipe his own butt, he gained independence. But now, I must teach him about the responsibility of not using an entire roll of toilet paper to wipe his butt. It is like he feels he needs to make toilet paper boxing gloves for one wipe. I have been telling him he needs and can use much less toilet paper. And he is getting better at using less toilet paper per cleaning, but still uses enough toilet paper to clog a toilet.
