He’s Growing Up

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

It’s not just him being two and going to play school. It’s not just him wanting to eat at his table for dinner then going upstairs after eating dinner to play with Sassy, the cat, while we sit and eat. It’s not just him being asked to wash his hands then he going to bathroom and washing his hand then returning. It’s not just him being able to create a train track all by himself. It’s not just him being able to say his ABC’s. It’s not just him wanting to color or dance or play and talk his talk and ask questions and know answers. It’s all these things.

Play School!

Monday, October 5th, 2009

Today was Ezra’s first day at playschool! Apparently the highlight of his day was the 2 times he and C-dog sat on the potties that flush. Or it could have been the 5 spiders sighted outside in the backyard, or playing in the backyard, or music class. Or maybe it was all of the above. When I came to pick him up, he was in the midst of playing and not ready to leave. After many minutes of playing with Ezra and C-dog, I was ready to go home, but Ezra was still having fun, so we played some more. When it was finally really time to go, Ezra was sad. To make him happy again, we went to Trader Joes and got a balloon (and some groceries!).

Ezra Wants A Puppy Or Mommy

Sunday, October 4th, 2009

This morning Ezra woke wanting mommy, but mommy was sleeping. I asked Ezra if he wanted to play trains, with cars, read books, watch videos, eat waffles, strawberries, grapes, peach, raisins, cereal, chips, cheese or eggs, or play at the park, go downstairs. He said no to all only wanting mommy. I then asked him if he wanted a puppy. He said, ,,Yes.” Fortunately, mommy woke and called his name before we had to talk about a puppy because usually he says, ”No puppy,” and then I know he is just in his morning mood.

Watching Cars…

Saturday, October 3rd, 2009

We are watching Cars again. After a week of watching Cars on the plane and in the cabin, we are watching it again. Again. I have seen it enough, but Ezra loves this movie. He wanted to watch it everyday since we have return, but we have resisted except during last night during movie night when we tried to see if Ezra wanted to watch the movie WALL*E, which Ezra didn’t like, which is no surprise because WALL*E has no Cars, has few noises and has no Cars. And now we watch because makes him happy while mom is away. He has only asked, ,,Where’s mommy,” twice.

What’s This!

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

The word Whaus is slowly being removed from Ezra lexicon after hours, days, weeks of saying, ,,What’s this?” when he says, ,,Whaus.” As proof, for the last few days, I have heard him say, ”What’s this?”and not, ”Whaus?” when want to know an object. WHOO HOO!
