Ezra is Ezra

Ezra is doing well minus one tooth. He is just about back to the normal, plus-one-tooth Ezra. I think he has almost forgotten all about the incident and the missing tooth. Unfortunately, it will be a while before his mom and dad can forget about it : (

Ezra’s back on a wide ranging drug regimen for a while - during Ezra’s visit to the ER, we learned that he had an ear infection.  So he’s back on amoxicillin for the ears, tylenol and motrin for tooth, mouth and any remaining ear pain, and flouride because we can’t brush his teeth yet. But he doesn’t seem to mind all this, most of the time. He actually even seems to like the taste of amoxicillin, which I find amazing.

Ezra is eating most foods that he liked to eat before. On Monday, the day of the accident, I wanted to get something good for Ezra to eat, so I bought him some blueberries. He was very happy to see some more blueberries, and that day, ate almost all blueberries exclusive of anything else.

Ezra is waking in the night more than usual, although I can hardly remember what normal Ezra sleep is like, so maybe this is the new normal.

Ezra is fun to have at home to play with and talk with - missing one tooth hasn’t slowed him down at all, and we are happy that Ezra is still Ezra!
